Who We Are

Pierce Hill Performing Arts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit musically diverse organization, presenting events of variety throughout the summer. These concerts run the gamut from chamber folk to progressive Americana Roots/Bluegrass to classical chamber music to jazz. All groups share one thing in common – they embody artistic excellence.

Our Mission

Pierce Hill Performing Arts' principal objectives are:

  • To present musicians of artistic excellence to rural Southwestern Wisconsin;

  • To provide scholarships and fellowships for serious young musicians of merit and financial need for private lessons, and summer music camps.

Our Location

We are perched on a beautiful ridge in Vernon County, Viroqua, Wisconsin. The address to our venue is:  S4706 Orchard Rd, Viroqua, Wisconsin

When you arrive you will be instructed where to park along the driveway. After parking you will walk a short distance down the driveway to the performance venue, The Barn.

Weather

Concerts can be enjoyed from inside the Barn and from the Lawn. The Lawn is considered an open-air venue, and performances will go on rain or shine; there are no rain checks. In the event of severe weather, Pierce Hill Performing Arts cannot guarantee indoor refuge for all guests.

Venue

The venue is an acoustically rich wooden barn built by the Amish. Comfortable seating in the Barn is made possible by Mity-Lite Flexible chairs. When the Barn seats are sold out lawn tickets are available in the open air - the listening experience from the lawn is quite excellent.
